I stopped for while trying to move my personal information from old Orange SPV M3000 running Windows Mobile 5.0 to new HTC Touch Cruise running Windows Mobile 6.0.
Contacts, appointments and tasks ran smoothly over my Vista’s Windows Mobile Device Center synchronization… but… there was no easy way to move SMS folders and call history logs.
Finally I found great software which did the job. It is called PIM Backup. It’s small. It’s free. And it’s working. It can be downloaded from here.
With help of this application I created backup at old device, copied it into the new one and restored there without any problems.
